ISLAMABAD: Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) Mohammad Ajmal Gondal presented report of fiscal year 2022-23 to President Dr Arif Alvi. President appreciated the role of Auditor General of Pakistan in maintaining financial discipline in the country. He said that the use of advanced technology is necessary to make the process of Audit more effective. He emphasized that Auditor General should take steps to further improve audit system in country. Improving the Audit process will help promote better governance, transparency and accountability in the country. DNA
He said that targets should be determined to make the Auditor General institutions more effective.
Auditor General should provide full support to government in promoting better governance.
President said that there is need to adopt better internal controls, technology, automation and global standard Audit practices.
