Agri University hold a day long training workshop on Environment

Students Counselling, Placement and Human Resource Development, University of Agriculture Peshawar on the instructions of Higher Education Green Youth Movement in collaboration with Bayer Pakistan organized a day long workshop on “Challenges and Environmental Impacts of Sustainable Agriculture, Pesticide Use and Human Health”. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Jahan Bakht was the chief guest on this occasion. Registrar Dr. Rizwan Ahmed, Dr. Anwar Ali Shad, Dr. Sulaiman, Dr. Inamullah, Muhammad Asim, Naeemuddin and Shahid Ali Khan along with a large number of faculty members, administrative officers and students participated. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Jahan Bakht while addressing said that environmental pollution has increased due to indiscriminate use of pesticides, which has also caused an increase in cancer. He said that the use of pesticides is also our compulsion but humans if it is used according to the instructions of agricultural experts keeping health in mind, its toxic effects can be reduced to a great extent.
