Agriculture University teachers honoured on retirement

Vice Chancellor (VC) University of Agriculture Peshawar Professor Dr. Jahan Bakht said here on Wednesday that a teacher is the architect of a nation, the nations that respect their teachers rule the world.
The function was organized by the University of Agriculture Peshawar Officers Association to honor former Dean Meritorious Professor (R) Dr. Fida Muhammad, former Deputy Provost Abdul Basit and former Provost of Peshawar University Fazal Sher on their retirements.
VC Dr. Jahan Bakht attended the function as a special guest.
Dean Faculty of Crop Protection Sciences Prof. Dr. Ahmedur Rahman Saljuqi, Faculty, Registrar Dr. Rizwan Ahmed, members, administrative officers and presidents of various associations of the university attended the event.
The president of the University of Agriculture Peshawar Officers Association Ihsanullah and General Secretary Bilal Marwat lauded the significant roles played by the outgoing teachers in students’ futures.
The speakers said that meritorious professors (retd) Dr. Fida Muhammad and Abdul Basit were highly qualified and professional teachers who have brightened the future of thousands of students.
They termed the retired employees of the university as precious assets for rendering invaluable services for the development and welfare of the University.
On this occasion, Dr. Fida, Basit and Fazal Sher thanked Prof. Dr. Jahan Bakht, Cabinet and members of Agriculture University Peshawar Officers Association and expressed their desire to render their services to the university at all times in future.
Dr. Jahan Bakht and other staffers of the university presented gifts to outgoing teachers.
