AK high court moved against delay in PM AK election

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Kashmir high court has been moved against delay in the election of Prime Minister (PM) Azad Kashmir. Petition has been filed by lawyers Raja Zulqarnain, Abid Khan, Waqar Farooq Abbasi and Ali Abdullah. The petition has been filed under article 17 of the constitution. According to text of the petition election for Azad Kashmir PM is being delayed persistently. As per rules the election is required to be held immediately after the post of PM becomes vacant. They requested the court to issue orders for immediate election of PM. Speaker assembly, secretary assembly and Azad Kashmir government have been made respondents. President, PM Secretariat and all political parties have been made respondents. Online
