Federal Minister for Human Rights Shereen Mazari raised the issue of missing persons in the Upper House.
Minister of State Ali Muhammad and Shereen Mazari indulged in a spontaneous dialogue over the issue. Ali said that if she bears the expenses, the bill shall be presented.
Jamat Islami Senator asked in the session that is government providing any legal assistance to family members of missing persons. Dr. Shereen Mazari answered that bill regarding missing persons has already been presented in the parliament but why it is not being presented before Senate. She asked that has the bill lost somewhere?
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani said that this is a government bill and Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has to present it. House of Senate cannot be blamed for this.
