Mardan: The provincial elections of Sarhad Petroleum Dealers Association have been completed. Haji Akhtarnawaz Khan is unopposed as the provincial chairman while Haji Sawab Gul has been chosen as the general secretary. According to the post of Chairman, Haji Jan Alam Khan of Tonk and Akhtar Nawaz Khan Rustam Mardan, while Ikram Khan Marwat and Sawab Gul Khan Swabi submitted their nomination papers for the post of General Secretary, however, as a result of mutual discussion, Haji Jan Alam Khan and Akram Khan Marwat withdrew his nomination papers. After which the election committee announced the unopposed election of Haji Akhtar Nawaz Khan as provincial chairman and Haji Sawaab Gul Khan as provincial general secretary. Vice Chairman Ikram Khan Marwat from Ismail Khan Division, Vice Chairman Omar Daraz Khan Bakakhel from Bannu Division, Haji Shabir Ahmad Mian Ali Jan Khan from Kohat Division, Raja Arshad Mehboob from Hazara Division and Arifullah Khan from Peshawar Division are the Vice Chairman. While the names of Haji Amjad Ali Khan Shinwari, Fazl Amin, Haji Rahim Bacha, Malik Fida Afridi and Liaquat Khan Chitral will be recommended for the Majlis Shura, a formal notification has also been issued in this regard.
