Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat on Monday visited various localities of the provincial capital to review overall management of traffic, said a handout. He visited Hayatabad, Town, Tehkal, Saddar and Charsadda Road and inspected ongoing campaigns related to traffic system and implementation of traffic rules.
Abbas Majeed Marwat inspected the process of removing tinted windows from vehicles of city traffic Police Peshawar personnel who do not use seat belts and helmets and use tinted windows and directed the authorities to continue the ongoing campaigns.
He said that the use of tinted glass is a legal offense and no concession will be made to those who use it. CTO Abbas Majeed directed the authorities concerned to take strict actions against the violators of the no parking zones.
Legal action should be taken.
All capabilities should be utilized to improve the uninterrupted flow of traffic and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
He said City Traffic Police continue to raise awareness for enforcing traffic laws and eliminating encroachments.
