Najeeb Rehman Jamali, Additional Deputy Commissioner-I on Thursday presided over a meeting in connection with preparation of the Independence Day to celebrate on 14 August with zeal and enthusiasm in the district.
The meeting was attended by Waqar Ahmed Kalwar, ADC-II Badin, Muhammad Hanif, District Election Commissioner, Allah Dino Mallah, District Education Officer Secondary, Muhammad Saleh Korejo, District Education Officer Primary, Bashir Ahmed Abbasi, Manager PPHI, Sarfraz Ahmed Samoon, District Information officer, Fahad, ASP Police, Imtiaz Ali Bhutto, Additional Director, Agriculture, Ashok Kumar, Chief Officer, District Council, Abida Marvi, President, Soormi Sath, Din Muhammad Dero, Assistant Director, SWD, Sawan Khaskheli, Manager Programs, LHDP, Hyder Panhwar, District Manager, HANDS, Assistant Commissioners and Mukhtiarkars of all Talukas, others citizens and heads of all departments participated the meeting.
The meeting reviewed in details the security and others arrangements for Independence Day in order to celebrate it in a befitting manner on August 14. The flag hoisting will be held in Gymkhana Badin, ADC-I said in the meeting.
On the eve all Government building will be illuminated and songs, tableaus, speeches, Naats and other events will be organized, meeting informed.
Najeeb Rehman, ADC-I said that 14 August was our freedom day and our leaders bestowed us a gift if a free country Pakistan by making great sacrifices adding that we should serve our country and nation as patriot and pray for the progress, development and prosperity of the country, ADC-I added.
On the occasion, he issued the directives to all departments concerned and assigned them duties so as to ensure the maintenance of law and order of the day and cleanness to be assured.
He also enjoined upon the concerned officers to maintain close coordination with heads of all departments, institutions and NGOs for holding the function smoothly and befitting manners.
