Alleged same sex marriage case: court orders for gender test of bride groom

RAWALPINDI : Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has ordered for gender medical test to ascertain the gender of the alleged bride-groom besides providing protection in same sex marriage case of two girls.

The alleged two girls marriage case came up for hearing before LHC Rawalpindi bench Friday.

The bride groom Ali Akash and the bride Neha did not appear in the court. However their counsels appeared before the court. They told the court that gender medical test of the accused Akash Ali has not been conducted so far.

Police told the court both bride and bride-groom have left for Lahore and no contact could be made with them since the last ten days.

Counsel for bride groom Akash Ali presented the corona test report of his client in the court and according to it Akash Ali tested negative.

The counsel told typhoid has been diagnosed in Akash Ali.

The court while ordering for gender test of Akash Ali on August 4 directed MS District hospital to constitute medical board for August 4. The CPO Rawalpindi was ordered by the court to provide full security to Ali Akash.

The learned judge remarked no order could be passed without gender test. If gender test comes negative then there will be no need of any arguments.

The court while accepting plea of counsel for bride groom for adjournment of hearing of the case for ten days put off the hearing of the case for ten days.
