Pak-Denmark bilateral relations and other important issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. The two stressed the need to enhance relations between Pakistan and Denmark.
During the meeting, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that relations between Pakistan and Denmark would be further enhanced.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said relations between Pakistan and Denmark would be further enhanced, Pakistan would benefit from Denmark’s high expertise in various fields, and trade barriers between Pakistan and Denmark would be removed.

During the meeting, the Interior Minister, while discussing the situation in Afghanistan, said that Pakistan would continue to work for lasting peace in Afghanistan.

He said Pakistan would continue its efforts for lasting peace in Afghanistan as Afghan citizens especially children and women were in dire need of livelihood. He said international community should help and assist Afghan citizens on the basis of humanitarian sympathy.

The minister said Pakistan had provided assistance to more than 100,000 Afghan people in safe evacuation. Sheikh Rashid said there was a concern of humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan due to lack of resources.

On the occasion, the Ambassador of Denmark said that bilateral relations between Pakistan and Denmark need to be enhanced in the fields of trade and tourism. We want lasting peace in Afghanistan.

The Ambassador said that the bilateral Green Partnership between Pakistan and Denmark would be signed soon. The Green Partnership would expand the business relations between Pakistan and Denmark.

The meeting between the two leaders was also attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Interior and members of the staff of the Denmark Embassy.
