ANF recovers 757 kg drugs, 4.5 kg prohibited chemical

ISLAMABAD: The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered 757 kg drugs and 4.5 kg prohibited chemical, valuing 840 million rupees internationally during 17 countrywide operations launched against the narcotics smuggling.
The recovered drugs comprised 753 kg hashish, 2.4 kg opium, 1.7 kg heroin and 4.5 kg Acetic Anhydride. During operations, the ANF also apprehended 21 persons including a lady involved in narcotics smuggling and seized 7 vehicles. According to details, ANF Quetta seized 660 kg hashish which was concealed in improvised cavities of the vehicle.
ANF Rawalpindi arrested a lady drug peddler identified as Farah along with 430 gram heroin. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Abdul Malik and Zahid Mehmood, both residents of Attock, along with 1.1 kg heroin, which was found in their personal possession
ANF Lahore intercepted a car and seized 30 kg hashish concealed in secret cavities of the car.
ANF Peshawar recovered 19.2 kg hashish concealed in fuel tank of a car. Three persons on board named Sher Zaman, Noor Zamin, Sami Ullah all residents of Khyber Agency were apprehended during the operation. In another operation, ANF Peshawar while intercepting a Suzuki Mehran car near University Town, recovered 4.5 Kg Acetic Anhydride concealed in it. A person on board namely Iftikhar Ahmed resident of Charsadda was arrested during the operation.
ANF Karachi recovered 5 Kg Hashish from personal possession of a drug peddler identified as Gul Muhammad resident of Shangla, who was arrested near TDF High School, Ali Goth, Malir, Karachi. In another operation, ANF Karachiarrested 2 local drug peddlers identified as Manak and Naseer Ali both residents of Sanghar, recovering 3 Kg Hashish from their possession. They were arrested near Hala Naka, Hyderabad City.
Cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations and further investigations are underway.
