MARDAN: Anjuman Begum, a scholar from the Pashto department at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) has become the first to successfully defend her MPhil thesis. Her thesis, titled “A Critical Study of the Life and Literary Works of Abdul Wahid Qalandar,” was supervised by Dr Syed Zafarullah Bakhshali. The external examiner was Prof Dr Ruhollah, Chairman of the Pashto Department at Peshawar University. Other notable attendees included Dr. Nasrullah Jan Wazir, former director of the Pashto Academy at Peshawar University, Prof. Dr. Rashid, Dr. Aqib, Dr. Manzoor Ali, Dr. Shukari Qadir, and Nagina Bibi. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Zahir Shah, attended the defense ceremony and commended the Pashto Department’s efforts, offering his congratulations to Anjuman Begum for her achievement. DLP Report
