Provincial Food Minister Zahir Shah Toru, along with officers from Sports Department Mardan, Auqaf Department and Revenue Department, visited the sites of proposed sports grounds in Ghal Dher, Toru Rashidabad and Shamatpur in Mardan. During the visit, various sites were identified and the projects were reviewed.
On this occasion occasion, Zahir Shah Toru said that construction work on these grounds will start soon after the formalities are completed,said an official handout.
Zahir Shah Toru added that these steps are important for providing sports opportunities to the youth and promoting healthy activities.
The Food Minister further said that the provincial government is committed to the promotion of sports and all possible resources are being utilized in this regard. He directed the concerned authorities to complete the procedure within the stipulated time to start practical work on all the projects so that the people can benefit from these facilities as soon as possible.
Senior party leaders Waqar Khan, Zahid Khan, Faiz Muhammad and other workers were also present on the occasion.
