Another leader from KP announces to quit PTI

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday quit the party over May 9 vandalism, while most senior party leaders and former lawmakers still in hiding to avert arrest in connection with violent protests held following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan arrest.
Former advisor to the chief minister on prisons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Malik Qasim Khan parted ways with the PTI over May 9 violent protests and attacks on government and armed forces installations.
Addressing a press conference, Qasim Khan also strongly condemned the people who attacked and vandalized government buildings and Pakistan Army installations, adding that an unprecedented violence and chaos have been witnessed on May 9 when its party chairman Imran Khan was taken into custody in an alleged corruption case.
“I have decided to quit PTI over violence and creating unrest in the country over a pity issue,” he added and said that association with the party has ended for good.
Qasim Khan maintained that most of the leaders were leaving PTI for the greater interest of the nation and clarified leaving politics.
Hisham Inamullah Khan, former PTI minister and leader from Lakki Marwat and Ajmal Wazir, former spokesperson of Mahmood Khan led provincial government had made the announcement of their departure from the party in KP. Qasim, Ajmal and Hisham Inamullah Khan in their separate press conferences have strongly criticized those workers and supporters of the party who attacked government installations.
