PESHAWAR
The provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack on a police station in Bermal Tehsil in South Waziristan.
In a statement, he said that terrorists across the province targeting police and public while the provincial government has observed pin drop silence.
Reacting to the attack on the police station in Waziristan and the protest of girls in Wana, Amil Wali Khan alleged the provincial government for failing to combat terrorism and create a peaceful environment for girl’s education in the tribal belt.
Aimal Wali added that the terrorists set a ablaze vehicle of police and took away arms but the provincial government still denying the rising insurgencies in the province.
“The imported spokesperson of the province should also know that the “Jirga” people have accepted the responsibility of the incident. They said that terrorists have been organized from Waziristan to Bajaur, Swat and Chitral and the government still denying the facts and accused the government of showing sympathy toward those creating law and order situation across the province.
It is a matter of concern that the number of terrorists incidents in the province occurred and rising instead of coming down, but the provincial government was taking no action, adding the priority of the government to support its party leader instead of fulfilling its legal obligations. “It’s a criminal act on the part of the provincial government,” he added.
Aimal maintained the people and police of the province would join hands to fight against the terrorists, adding that incumbent provincial government should play its due role in maintaining law and order situation.
On the protest of Wana College students, Amil Wali Khan said that on one hand there is terrorism and on the other hand, girls are protesting for education in Waziristan.
