ANP for judicial inquiry into terrorists resettlement in KP

The provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) Aimal Wali Khan on Saturday demanded the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the “resettlement of terrorists” in different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“A high-level committee should be formed to investigate the process of resettlement of terrorists in Pakhtunkhwa, “ ANP leader demanded of the incumbent federal government in a letter.
Aimal Khan said that all the roles and agreements involved in the resettlement of terrorists should be brought before the public.
He said sought that a judicial inquiry of the entire process should be conducted under the leadership of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court.
ANP has consistently opposed the policy of resettling and organizing terrorists, he added and said that in light of the Inquiry Act 2017, the federal government should announce a judicial inquiry.
The letter further states that those involved in the resettlement of terrorists and all the roles and agreements should be brought before the public and a judicial inquiry of the entire process should be conducted under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court.
Amil Wali Khan has further said in his letter to the Prime Minister that due to the sacrifices of ANP, Pakhtunkhwa Police and other security agencies, peace in Pakhtunkhwa was possible.
In the light of the Inquiry Act 2017, the federal government should announce a judicial inquiry.
