ANP invites JI to all party conference

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) on Saturday invited the Jamat-e-Islami (JI) to attend the All Party Conference (APC) scheduled to be held on July 3. According to a statement issued here from Bacha Khan Markaz, a delegation of the ANP led by Mian Iftikhar Hussain called on JI ameer Siraj-ul-Haq and conveyed the message. ANP, a partner of the coalition government, has decided to invite an APC to take all political parties on the board. The statement added that the senior leadership of the party have also invited people from different walk of life and sector to generate a positive debate over the ongoing political impass between the government and opposition. The host party of the meeting has formed an executive committee for the management of the task under the leadership of Mian Iftikhar Hussain. ANP senior Vice-President and former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that the APC meeting has been called on the instruction of party chief Asfandayar Wali Khan.
