Anti-corruption department Mardan arrested former federal minister Ali Mohammad Khan in charge of illegal appointments after being released from the anti-terrorist court here on Friday, sources said.
Sources added that the anti-corruption department was known from reliable sources that illegal appointments of class-four was done in the fishery department Mardan. Sources added that the anti-corruption audit inspection team started investigation in the case.
Sources added that during the inquiry it was disclosed that illegal appointments of class-four were made in the fishery department in the PTI government which gave 2356765 rupees loss to the national treasury in terms of salary. Sources added that later on 10th May the Mardan circle officer Aftab Alam filed a first information report (FIR) under section PPC 409/5 (2) PC Act in the illegal appointments in the fishery department Mardan.
Sources added that 16 people were charged in the FIR former federal minister Ali Mohammad Khan, former provincial minister Atif Khan, former member national assembly Mujahid Khan, former members provincial assembly Abdul Salam Afridi, Zahir Shah, Iftihar Mashwani, Malak Shokat, Amir Farzand Khan, AD fishery, Arif Khan, Shah Faisal, Samina Naz, Zakirin, Ali Ahmed, Imranullah and Gul Ziad.
Sources added that Ali Mohammad Khan was arrested in the mentioned FIR. Meanwhile a video of a protest outside the Punjab Regiment Center (PRC) of 9th May was viral on social media.
It was shown in the video that Sher Bahadur Mohmand district vice president of PTI and political secretary (PS) of former provincial minister Atif Khan motivated the party workers to attack the PRC center. Sources added that Sher Bahadur Mohmand came under ground due to the fear of arrest after the 9th May incident.
Sources further added that majority of the PTI lawmakers and workers involved in the 9th May incident were present in Mardan and sharing posts in different WhatsApp groups.
