In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders have strongly reacted to harassment of Kashmiri people during cordon and search operations and house raids in Srinagar and other areas of the territory.
APHC leaders including Abdul Ahad Parra, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, Bashir Ahmed Andrabi, Yaseen Attai and Dr Musaib in their separate statements in Srinagar said the continued search operations and summoning of the youth to the police stations are being used as harassment tactics by the Indian forces in the territory.
They said that such tactics were being employed to provoke the youth so as to arrest them. The statement while divulging the details said that India’s ruthless actions particularly after the August 2019 act of illegally revoking the IIOJK’s special status by India including arrests of thousands of political leaders and activists under draconian laws, was Modi’s wicked agenda to dilute the Muslim character of the territory.
The leaders said that now New Delhi is holding G20 meeting in Srinagar in an attempt to divert international community’s attention from the actual issue of Kashmir, which is yet to be resolved as per the UN resolutions.
They said that Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a crucial phase as the people are deprived of their democratic and political right to self-determination.
