ISLAMABAD: Application has been filed in NEPRA for scaling up electricity tariff by Rs 2.34 per unit for Karachi. The hike in power tariff has been sought under fuel adjustment for the month of June. The spike in power tariff will shift an additional financial burden of Rs 4.39 billion to K-Electric consumers. NEPRA will hear the application on July 26. CPPA has sought increase in power tariff under the head of monthly fuel adjustment for the month of June. CCPA application will be heard on July 26 too. Online
