Peshawar: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has successfully launched a Digital Compensation Platform to facilitate quick, transparent, and efficient compensation for people affected by natural disasters across the province. Under this new system, disaster affectees can easily submit their compensation cases through a digital process. The platform is also available to the general public via the DASTAK App, allowing citizens to register their cases directly without unnecessary delays or complications. To ensure effective implementation, PDMA KP conducted a four-day comprehensive training program for staff of district administrations. The training focused on data collection, verification, and attachment of required documents on the digital platform, enabling smooth and accurate processing of cases. Once a case is approved on the system, the compensation amount is transferred directly to the affectee’s bank account, ensuring timely payment and eliminating manual hurdles. The initiative aims to enhance transparency, improve service delivery, and provide swift relief to those impacted by natural disasters. The Digital Compensation Platform was formally inaugurated by the Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Aqibullah Khan, along with the Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation & Settlement Department (RR&SD), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Addressing the training session, Minister Aqib Ullah Khan emphasized the importance of effective implementation of the system and urged district administration staff to utilize the platform responsibly.
