Karachi: Pakistani digital creator Areeb Pervaiz has responded to questions about his financial dependence on his wife, YouTuber Iqra Kanwal, asserting that people do not know the full extent of his earnings and business ventures. During a recent podcast with Bluntline.pk, Areeb was asked whether husbands feel insecure when their wives earn more than them. Rejecting assumptions about their financial relationship, Areeb questioned how people could determine which partner earned more, saying he had never publicly disclosed his income. He also highlighted his business interests, including the restaurant FOUR, which he said operates on a 50-50 partnership between him and Iqra. He added that he has other businesses and that the couple had built their assets together. Iqra Kanwal, who runs the popular YouTube channel Sistrology, has millions of subscribers and followers across social media platforms. The couple welcomed a daughter last year and recently celebrated her first birthday. The pair have frequently faced online discussions about their financial arrangements and household roles, with some social media users portraying Iqra as the family’s primary breadwinner. Areeb’s remarks sought to challenge those assumptions, emphasizing their joint efforts in building their businesses and financial stability. ONLINE
