PESHAWAR: The additional chief secretary of home and tribal affairs Abid Majeed on Saturday visited Torkham border and reviewed the arrangements in the camp set up for the return of illegal Afghan refugees. Secretary home and tribal affairs Abid Majeed said that the provincial government has finalized arrangements for the repatriation of Afghan citizens from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Arrangements have been finalized for the return of people residing illegally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the return will start from November 1, Mohammad Abid Majeed, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Interior and Tribal Affairs. Commissioner Peshawar Division Muhammad Zubair, CCPO Peshawar Muhammad Ashfaq, Deputy Commissioner Khyber Abdul Nasir Khan and DPO Khyber Saleem Abbas Kulachi, PDMA officers and other officers were also present. During the visit, DC Khyber gave a detailed briefing to Additional Chief Secretary Abid Majeed about the camp established in Torkham border and Lindikotal. Government officials said that all arrangements for the return of the Afghan refugees have been given final touch and illegal Afghan refugees will continue even after October 31. DLP Report
