GHQ attack case

Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has rejected acquittal pleas of two more accused in GHQ attack case. Col (Retd) Ajmal Sabir and Sohail Irfan Abbasi had filed acquittal pleas under section 265-k of criminal procedure. Prosecution lawyer Zahir Shah while opposing the petition took the plea prosecution has enough evidence against the accused persons.
Filing acquittal plea is not correct at this stage of court’s proceedings when the process of evidence of prosecution is underway.
The court while agreeing to prosecution arguments dismissed the petition.
