A specialized medical team of the Department of Orthopedics at Ayub Teaching Hospital has successfully performed a complex hand replantation surgery, described as the first of its kind in the medical history of Hazara Division. Muhammad Saeed, a resident of Havelian, suffered complete amputation of his hand after it was caught in a saw machine. He was shifted to Ayub Teaching Hospital in critical condition. The orthopedic surgical team performed a several-hour-long complex operation to reattach the severed hand.
