Empowering youth
Peshawar
Atomcamp, an Islamabad-based edtech platform, launched the Upskill Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Programme, funded by the SEED Programme under the Foreign, Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO).
In collaboration with IMSciences University Peshawar, the initiative aims to empower women and youth in the region by offering free courses in essential fields such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Web Development.
This program intends to equip individuals with job-ready skills, fostering economic development. The programme serves as a gateway for trainees to accelerate their freelancing careers, secure employment, or venture into entrepreneurship, ultimately contributing to the overall growth of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.
Fizza Amjad, CEO of atomcamp, expressed during the launch, “Through this program, we envision a future where education, skills, and innovation come together to unlock boundless opportunities.
Together with our partners at IMSciences and the support of SEED, we believe in creating a ripple effect of positive change that will uplift communities and contribute to the growth of the entire region.”
Beyond the mentioned opportunities, the programme holds the potential to address gender and youth disparities by fostering inclusivity and diversity. By offering mentorship programs, networking events, and internship placements, it not only imparts technical skills but also facilitates professional connections, creating a supportive ecosystem for women and youth to thrive in traditionally underrepresented fields.
Additionally, the programme’s emphasis on soft skills development enhances participants’ communication and collaboration abilities, further preparing them for success in diverse professional environments.
The recent launch event not only emphasized the programme’s significance but also encouraged attendees to explore the vast opportunities it presents, fostering connections for potential future collaborations. “IMSciences is thrilled to collaborate with Atomcamp on the Upskill Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Program.
This initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to advancing education and fostering innovation,” said Usman Ghani, the Director of the Institute of Management Sciences.
On this event, Taimur Khan, institutional development expert at SEED, highly appreciated the program. He said, “SEED works closely with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (GoKP) to increase growth, employment and prosperity of the province. The Upskill Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Program is an initiative that will pave way for economic empowerment of women and youth.”
