Awareness seminar on human rights protection held

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in collaboration with United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) organized a joint awareness seminar on human rights protection and harassment of men and women.
Speaking on the first day of the seminar, Project Director PDMA Syed Musawar Shah Geelani said that sexual harassment is a very inappropriate behavior and every government and non-government organization should take steps to prevent it.
He said that all institutions should formulate policies and regulations on sexual harassment so that the victims of harassment are provided assistance and the perpetrators face the consequences.

The representative of UNICEF also addressed the seminar. The awareness seminar will continue on the second day today.
