PESHAWAR: Salik Development Foundation, a non-governmental organization, in collaboration with Pakistan Poverty Evaluation Fund (PPF) on Wednesday organized an awareness seminar and walk in connection with World Environment Day. Awareness walks were organized at various educational institutions of Peshawar, Charsadda, Swat, Swabi, Upper and Lower Kohistan. Addressing the seminar, Chairman SDF Haji Jehanzeb Salik and Prof Dr Mohammad Tayyab Chairman Antarmaology Department said that pollution is quietly licking our environment like a termite. To combat the challenges of climate in Pakistan,keep the climate of Pakistan , pragmatic steps should be taken on priority basis. The PAF financing project includes forest restoration, sustainable agriculture, and green infrastructure measures to increase resistance to the effects of climate change. Participants vowed to continue environmental sustainability and resistance efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. DLP Report
