Senator Azam Swati has resorted to Islamabad High Court (IHC) in connection with his bail in controversial tweet case.
Azam Swati has filed post arrest bail plea through Dr Babar Awan making federation, FIA and Anees ur Rehman officer of Cyber crime respondents.
The trial court had rejected the bail plea of Azam Swati on December 21.
It was taken the plea in the petition that the alleged tweets were not posted. Azam Swati had no intention to defame any institution. There is no evidence with the prosecution against Azam Swati even after completion of the investigation.
Petitioner is 75 years old and he is heart patient. Keeping Azam Swati in jail will be tantamount to punishment before trial.
It has been prayed in the petition that bail after arrest plea be accepted till the completion of the trial.
It may be pointed out that Special Judge central had rejected bail plea of Azam Swati.
