Azerbaijan delegation visits NH&MP driving license authority

A delegation from Azerbaijan visited the Driving License Authority (DLA) of the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) in Islamabad. The delegation was warmly welcome by DIG (Operations) Masroor Alam Kolachi, DIG Masroor Alam Kolachi provided a comprehensive briefing on the various stages of the driving license issuance process, the NHMP helpline (130), and FM-95 Radio.
During the briefing, the delegation was informed that the NHMP Driving License Authority began issuing licenses in 2014 from Islamabad, in line with international standards. In the second phase, the NHMP Driving License Authority expanded its services to Quetta and Sheikhupura, where it is now also issuing driving licenses to citizens. The delegation was further informed that the NHMP has established an international standard driving practical testing track at Sangjani, near Taxila, for HTV, PSV and CE categories.
Practical driving tests for all heavy vehicle drivers are conducted at Sangjani. The CE category licenses issued by the NHMP, Pakistani drivers are now securing employment opportunities abroad, particularly in the Middle East, Canada, and various European countries.
Additionally, to further facilitate the citizen, the Driving License Authority is also issuing International Driving Permits, which have earned widespread recognition both nationally and internationally. The delegation highly appreciated the NHMP’s services and performance.
