Provincial Minister for Agriculture announced to cultivate saffron on an experimental basis in Karak district
Provincial Minister for Agriculture Major Retired Sajjad Barkwal announced upgradation of Ahmed Wala Agricultural Research Station of Karak District and the cultivation of saffron on an experimental basis in Karak district.
He expressed these views as a special guest at the closing ceremony of the Honey Project at Ahmed Wala, Agricultural Research Station in Karak district. Director General Agriculture Extension Abdul Qayyum Khan, Senior Director Dr. Dil Fayyaz Khan, Project Director Muhammad Younis Khan, Station Director Tahir Sajjad, Research Officers Dr. Muhammad Ejaz Khan and Ashfaq Khan participated in the ceremony.
The Provincial Minister for Agriculture was briefed regarding the ongoing activities of the agriculture department and especially honey training and production. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Major Retired Sajjad Barkwal said that a new agricultural policy is being prepared at the provincial level to increase agricultural production per hectare.
From Chitral to Khyber and from Khyber to DI Khan, full attention will be paid to increasing the production of local crops. The development of agriculture can make the province self-sufficient in food needs.
Under the vision of Founder Chairman Imran Khan and leadership of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, steps are being taken for the development of agriculture and the welfare of farmers. Provincial Minister Major Retired Sajjad Barkwal also announced the establishment of Dhaki Khajoor Sub Station and the establishment of Olive Nursery.
Provincial Minister Major (R) Sajjad Barkwal distributed honey cats and certificates to the trained people under the management of Honey Project at the end of the ceremony.
