The annual Sports Day of Beacon House Gulshan Middle Campus Karachi was held with great enthusiasm at the IBA Karachi University Ground, culminating in Blue House winning the overall trophy.
Former international athlete and Director of Physical Education at the University of Karachi, Rashid Ali Qureshi, graced the event as the Chief guest and officially inaugurated the day’s activities.
During his address, Rashid Ali Qureshi commended the Beacon House School System for consistently providing its students with opportunities in both education and sports.
He emphasized the crucial role of extracurricular activities in a student’s holistic development, stating that they are integral to education and contribute to the nurturing of diverse talents.School Principal Maliha Noman extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests, particularly the Chief guest.
In her address, she highlighted Beacon House School’s commitment to both curricular and extracurricular activities. She noted that regular sports events are organized to ensure students remain active and enhance their mental and physical well-being.
The Sports Day featured a variety of games, including cricket, football, basketball, throwball, and various races. Students participated actively in the competitions, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. Ultimately, Blue House emerged as the overall champion, securing the general trophy.
The Chief guest, Muhammad Rashid Ali Qureshi, and School Principal Maliha Noman, distributed trophies, certificates, and medals to the winning students.
