KHANEWAL: As many as 64 motorbikes were distributed among employees of the livestock department to ensure provision of veterinary services at the doorsteps of farmers. Of the total, 21 motorbikes were given to officers while 43 were handed over to paramedical staff during a ceremony held here on Saturday. MNA Khan Daha and Deputy Commissioner Maliha Rashid distributed keys of the bikes among the selected employees. Director Livestock Multan Division, Additional Director Livestock Khanewal, local leadership of PML-N, and officials and staff of the department also attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, MNA Khan Daha appreciated the Punjab government’s initiative, saying the step would help improve veterinary services and facilitate farmers in remote areas. DNA
