Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Monday said that the ‘selected’ government cannot serve Pakistan as well as the public properly.
Addressing a worker’s convention in Nowshera, Bilawal Bhutto said that the Pakistan People’s Party thinks and works for the nation unlike other parties working for their own interests. He said that the federation does not seem to care about the rising inflation.
The PPP Chairman laid stress on the conduction of pure and just elections. He said that the worker’s fervor in Nowshera tells him that they are ready for elections and not trying to escape.
Bilawal said he is thankful to the Jiyalas for providing him with an opportunity to meet them. Chairman Bilawal said that the PPP is feeling the loss of Liaqat Shabab after reaching Naushera.
The series of the party’s conventions has made it apparent that the Jiyalas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have woken up, are charged, demanding for elections and not running away from them.
Chairman Bilawal said that the residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa battled terrorism and extremism bravely and remained firm to their ideology. He said that the Jiyalas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa faced three dictators and also faced terrorists and extremists while looking at them in the eye.
“They rendered great sacrifices but did not back down from their ideology and support for the Party. We are proud of our Jiyalas,” he remarked. The ones contesting the elections for 30 and 70 years should not rely on the establishment this time, said Bilawal.
Bilawal said that the opposition is always conspiring against the government. He demanded that the Chief Justice and Chief Election Commissioner ensure the conduction of pure and just elections as it is the only solution for the problems swamping Pakistan.
“It is our hope that the Election Commission of Pakistan and Justice Qazi Faez Isa will ensure that the upcoming elections are not controversial and their results are not questioned, because if they are, then what is the use of wasting billions of rupees that belong to the people? If free and fair elections do not take place, then the government made as a result will not be able to represent the country and solve its problems.
We will witness the same old outcome, with one side ruling over the country unjustly while the other cries foul,” he remarked. The decision of the public only will be acceptable. He said that Inflation, unemployment and poverty have reached sky-high levels and terrorism is on the rise during these hard times.
“There is a plethora of issues we are witnessing in the country. Inflation, poverty and unemployment have reached unprecedented levels and Islamabad is doing nothing to rectify them. The peace that had been established in the country with much difficulty, through the sacrifices of the people and the country’s security forces.
Meanwhile, Chairman, Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari here Monday said that free, fair and transparent election was peneaca of all the country’s problems.
Addressing a big party workers convention here, Bilawal Bhutto expressed the hope that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Chief Justice of Pakistan would ensure free and transparent election.
He said that PPP after winning elections would address problems of shabby economy, unemployment and poverty, adding people as well as the country would suffer in case of non-transperant polls.
Bilawal said his party would come into power with power of votes.
He said that his party has empowered farmers, labourers and poor women through different projects including Benazir Income Support Program.
Bilawal praised people of KP’s sacrfices in the fight against terrorism, saying complete elimination of terrorism was must for progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
He said that democracy could only strengthen with democratic values and political tolerance rather creating division and hatred in society.
Bilawal Bhutto said that Quaid e Awam Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed sacrficed their lives but never compromised on principles.
He said that leaders of opposition were only talking about constitution and democracy after losing power.
Bilawal said people still remembered the so called popularity of opposition parties as evident of by election in 20 NA seats results.
He said PPP had strong roots in masses and will achieve victory in all provinces including KP in elections and form Government.
The workers raised full throated slogans in favour of Bilawal.

Chairman Bilawal said that it was the need of hour to derive solutions for all the problems that are faced with, be it those related to security, economy, democracy or the Constitution. He said that PPP is the only party, who can do this all as it was the party of the people.
Addressing the Jiyalas of the PPP, Chairman Bilawal said that they have to work hard unitedly in the next four months by embodying the qualities of an ‘arrow’. The PPP will emerge as the camel, and whichever way it faces and sits, will determine what the dynamic is going to be, not only when it comes to forming the government in the center but all the provinces.
He said that the workers of the Party are his strength and will further strengthen him through their work. The PPP will be victorious along with Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s manifesto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s ideology, Chairman PPP said.
Chairman Bilawal said that Dir and Chitral will be the next destinations for the workers’ conventions, after which the Party’s Foundation Day will be held in Balochistan and then the much-awaited electoral campaign will begin.
PPP leaders were present alongside Bilawal at the Nowshera worker’s convention. Arrangements were made for thousands of workers at the venue including the deployment of 300 policemen for fool-proof security.
