“Looking forward to continuous collaboration with ADB as Pakistan embarks upon post-flood recons and rehab. With partners, we’ll build back a strong climate resilient,” the minister added.
Recently, the Bank had approved a $554 million financing package, including new and reallocated funds, to support recovery and reconstruction efforts in Pakistan following this year’s devastating floods, and to strengthen the country’s disaster and climate resilience.
The recent devastating floods in Pakistan have ruined approximately 1.5 million heads of livestock (goats, sheep, cows, buffaloes, etc.) that were killed in the natural disaster putting the food security of the country at risk.
