Bitcoin slips to $26,116 in bearish market

The cryptocurrency market turned bearish on Monday, with the market capitalization losing 1.3 percent to reach $1.08 trillion.
As of 1350 hours GMT, Bitcoin, the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, shed 1.8 percent in the last 24 hours to reach $26,116. The market capitalization of the biggest crypto has reached $509.1 billion with this decrease. Bitcoin has been 4.7 percent down in the past seven days.
Bitcoin is trading above the $26,000 level, with the bulls actively countering the bearish sentiment in the market. Bitcoin currently faces resistance at the $27,500 mark. However, if the price falls below the current level, it may cause Bitcoin to revisit the $25,400 support zone. The market is expecting BTC volatility to see an uptick as Bitcoin options worth $3 billion expire on September 29.
Similarly, Ether (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, shed 1.4 percent to reach $1,573. With this decrease in price, the market capitalization of ETH has reached $189 billion. ETH has been 5.6 percent down in the past seven days.
Likewise, Binance Coin (BNB) price dipped 1 percent to reach $208. The market capitalization of BNB has reached $32.1 billion with this decrease. BNB has shed 5.3 percent of its value during the last seven days.
On the other hand, Ripple (XRP) price decreased by 2.7 percent in the past 24 hours to reach $0.496. The market capitalization of XRP stands at $26.5 billion with this decrease. XRP has shed 1.4 percent of its value during the last seven days.
Meanwhile, Cardano (ADA) price went down by 0.9 percent to reach $0.243. With this decrease in price, its market capitalization has reached $8.5 billion. ADA has shed 4.4 percent of its value during the last seven days.
Other popular altcoins including Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), and Solana (SOL) traded sideways across the board. Curve DAO Token (CRV) went on to become the biggest gainer, with a 24-hour jump of over 8 percent. Toncoin (TON) became the biggest loser, with a 24-hour dip of over 4 percent.
