Institute of Management Science Peshawar Board of Governors (BoGs) approved the university’s budget for the fiscal year 2023-24 here on Wednesday, said a handout.
The 33rd meeting of the BoGs, chaired by caretaker provincial minister for higher education and law Justice retired Irshad Qaiser, accorded approval to Rs 1091 million budget for the year 2023-24. The forum was given a detailed briefing on the financial matters of Institute of Management Science Peshawar.
It was informed that the university has initiated two new MS and a Bachelor degree programs this year and a cut of 25 percent has been imposed on tuition fee.
The chair was informed about the grant Rs28 million approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for the university.
The caretaker provincial minister was informed that the degree and migration fee of the Institute of Management Sciences has been kept the lowest in the entire province. The research grant is being increased from Rs10 million to Rs15 million. In the meeting, the Institute of Management Sciences also informed about the problem of selection of its board members. On this occasion, various suggestions were presented by the senate members to improve the university budget in the light of the implementation of the suggestions presented in the meeting.
Justice Retired Irshad Qaiser, appreciated the efforts of the Institute of Management Sciences and directed for further improvement.
