BoK to launch 52 new branches for expansion in 2025

Bank of Khyber (BoK) announced to switch to Islamic Banking and expand further as it decided to open 52 more branches in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in 2025, the bank officials revealed at Annual Manager Conference (AMC) in Lahore city.
The AMC was addressed by senior bank officials and management in which plans and motivation for the year 2025-2027 were discussed. In the AMC, 36 Branch Managers and Area Managers were given awards for performances in their respective areas.
Addressing the AMC the Managing Director (MD) BoK Hassan Raza said that a comprehensive plan was already established, aiming to provide best possible services to the customers in future.
He said that to address the issues of the staff and to solve the complaints of the customers, the management has planned to conduct meetings and conferences in multiple cities frequently.
The officials expressed hope to grab the business opportunity as there was a huge potential in different provinces of the country.
While addressing the AMC the group head Shiraz Muhammad said that BoK manages 10% deposits in KP. He added, “If we take it to 40%, the market shares of Bank of Khyber would touch Rs 640 billion.
He added that the farmers and growers have been facing issues in managing bank accounts and to solve their problems, the BoK would soon solve their problem as it has reached a consensus with them.
He further said that at least 600000 government employees received their salaries, ranging up to Rs 50 Billion and around Rs 15 Billion pension was paid via BoK.
The official revealed that BoK planned to shift to Islamic Banking which holds a great space in the market in the country.
The head of Islamic Banking Abdullah Ghafar said that the BoK has 123 branches in the country which will soon be expanded further. Continuing that the deposits in the bank have reached Rs 94 billion and the assets have reached 119 up till now. The BoK also aimed to expand digitally to meet the modern day demand and compete in the market.
Head of Digital Marketing Fozia Mehmood said that BoK aimed to provide new services to its customers, including a better banking system and online or digital services.
