LAHORE: For the first time, the Lahore Zoo has started breeding of rare and exotic parrots. According to the administration sources, the aim of this initiative is to give the zoo a prominent place in the field of captive breeding. Officials say that during the year 2024-25, various types of parrots were purchased, including Eclectus, Cockatoo, Monk, Sun Conure and Alexandrine parrots. Now a modern system has been introduced for the breeding of these birds. Imported incubators and nurseries are also being set up for this purpose, while the installation of a modern hatchery system has entered the final stages. DNA
