A business forum delegation from Britain called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali at Governor House on Monday.
The Governor said that Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is a rich region in tourism, including minerals, oil and gas and foreign business communities should invest in the natural resources of the province.
He said modern technology has changed the world into a global village and investors should utilize the information technology and boost business.
The delegation included Chairman Overseas Business Forum UK Mohammad Farooq Khan, General Secretary Salman Dosa, Ahmed Ali, Syed Naeemullah Shah and Noman Ali among others.
The delegation thanked the governor for giving time for the meeting and appealed to the governor to establish an overseas commission in KP like Punjab and Sindh to facilitate the overseas business community.
The delegation said that the number of people belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is high in Central Asia and Europe, including the UK, but the province is facing problems due to the lack of an overseas commission.
On this occasion, the Governor welcomed the initiatives of the Overseas Business Forum UK delegation in the country regarding the business community and investment, and said that he wished to increase the closeness of the business community between Pakistan and the United Kingdom because the development of business is the overall success.
He proposed to the delegation that there should be a joint venture between the business community of the two countries related to KP s natural resources, precious minerals, hospitals in the health sector and dental and medical education in the education sector.
Sustainable investment is needed for the development of tourism and to attract tourists to these areas with a conducive environment for which the role of Overseas Business Forum will be commendable, Ghulam Ali added.
