Gold price rises Rs2,400 per tola
ISLAMABAD: The price of gold in the country witnessed an upward trend on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs2,400 per tola to Rs459,736, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The price of 24-karat gold of 10 grams increased by Rs2,058 to Rs394,149, while the price of 22-karat gold of 10 grams rose by Rs1,887 to Rs361,316. In the international market, gold was quoted at $4,373 per ounce, showing an increase of $24. Meanwhile, the price of silver also witnessed an increase, with 24-karat silver rising by Rs62 per tola to Rs6,965. The price of 24-karat silver for 10 grams increased by Rs53 to Rs5,971, while international silver was quoted at $64.86 per ounce, up by $0.62. The gold rates were based on interbank exchange rates, with purity set at 999.1 for 24-karat gold, the association said. APP
