District administration kicked off drive on Friday against pocket guides in all three tehsils i.e. Landi Kotal, Jamrud and Bara aimed to discourage cheating in the Senior School Certificate (SSC) examination to be scheduled on April 28,2023.
On the strict directions of Deputy Commissioner, Khyber district, Assistant Commissioners of Landi Kotal, Jamrud and Bara launched a massive crackdown on the books shops in the bazaars and confiscated a quantity of pocket guides possibly being utilized for the purpose of cheating.
Deputy Commissioner, Khyber Abdunasir said that on the public complaints across the district that on the eve of SSC exams, some of books shops owners in Khyber involved in selling of the cheating materials that boosted culture of cheating in exams and disheartened talented students, the district administration commenced drive against all those pocket guides sellers and seized hundreds of the cheating materials.
“We will not let anyone ruin the future of our children by engaging them in cheating like unfair acts”, he added and directed the Assistant Commissioners to conduct raids on book sellers and photo state shops on a daily basis.
Parents lauded the efforts of the administration by adopting an impressive initiative to discourage cheating in the exam halls and said it would certainly oblige the students to use fair ways to pass their exams.
Arshad Ali, a senior teacher in government school appreciated the act of the administration and urged the concerned officials to regularly pay surprise visits to examination halls to have practical checks on the cheating.
It is to be stated here that approximately 13 halls for SSC exams have been set up in Landi Kotal to facilitate the local students.
