KARACHI: Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Metro Maintenance, Raja Najeeb revealed that more than 150 laborers have been deployed to perform duties day and night on all entrances and exits of super highway cattle market. He said that the cattle market covers an area of more than 2,000 acres and the market has been covered with 8 main gates including 4 walk-through gates installed at sensitive places of the market. More than 30 acres have been reserved for parking area Regarding parking, Raja Najeeb said that this time we have kept the parking of vehicles in one place considering the difficulties of people. The parking fee is Rs 100 for 4-wheel vehicles, while Rs 30 is fixed for motorcycles. CEO, Metro Maintenance, Raja Najeeb said, “The biggest challenge for us is to provide facilities to the people at the cattle market. Yasir Fareed is with me as a partner who had a vast experience and we are trying to provide the best facilities to the super highway cattle market. We are trying to facilitate residents of the societies around the market and hundreds of passes are in process to issue them. Furthermore, the fee for special vehicle pass is Rs 6,000, while fee for motorcycle pass is Rs 3,500. Raja Najeeb clarified on the complaints of theft that the parking area has been kept within boundary wall and there are two entrances and one exit under the watch of our 12 to 14 vigilant guards who would control the thefts of vehicles and valuables.
