TALAGANG: A fierce gunfight erupted on Sunday between the CCD Police and suspected drug traffickers in the suburban locality of Peer Nara, on the outskirts of Talagang, leaving one proclaimed offender dead while another managed to flee under the cover of darkness. According to police sources, the encounter took place near the shrine of Baba Peer Nara when CCD Police attempted to intercept alleged drug peddlers. During the exchange of fire, Amar Shah son of Mazhar Shah, a resident of Rawalpindi and a wanted fugitive, was fatally shot. His accomplice, also believed to be involved in criminal activities, escaped from the scene. DNA
