CCPO Abbas Ahsan on Tuesday said that police officers and personnel have sacrifices their lives to maintain law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), adding that those who fall in line of duty would be remembered for long time in the province.
He expressed these during a ceremony held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Line Peshawar to present certificates of appreciation to police officers and personnel.
SP Headquarters Rahim Hussain, divisional SPs and SDPOs attended the event where officials were awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation for their outstanding performance.
During the ceremony, CCPO Abbas Ahsan lauded the excellent performance of the police personnel against the accused involved in street crimes and drug trafficking, including serious crimes.
He said that the KP Police had ensured the safety of lives and property of the people and the country and sacrificed their lives for the sake of peace.
Police personnel have also performed well in operations against criminals for maintaining law and order, including the war on terror he added.
CCPO Peshawar said that the police personnel made history with their blood which has enhanced the prestige of the police department, adding that the comprehensive strategy has led to success in the city against the elements involved in street crimes.
