CCPO meets secretary Japan embassy in Peshawar

CCPO Abbas Ahsan had a special meeting with a delegation led by Hiroiki Ashihara, First Secretary of Japan Embassy, at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Line Peshawar here on Thursday.
The guest of honor was also apprised of the steps being taken for the convenience of the citizens, including the war and criminal operations against the elements.
He also lauded the ongoing treatment process by the Peshawar Police to make drug addicts useful citizens of the society.
The distinguished guest was informed that for the welfare of the citizens and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police is undergoing reforms to ensure the provision of prompt services in accordance with international standards, to which the distinguished guest expressed full satisfaction.
Speaking on the occasion, Heroiki Ashihara, said that the KP police personnel not only fought terrorism resolutely but also fought against social evils and anti-social elements without caring for their lives.
Moreover, CCPO Abbas Ahsan inaugurated the renovation and other construction work at Bhana Mari police station. SP City Atiq Shah and other police officers including MPA Malik Wajid and SSP Operations Haroon Rashid were also present on the occasion.
The CCPO also inspected the newly constructed offices, remittances and other structures, which were constructed to facilitate the sailan, and timely completion of high quality construction work.
He said that the process of providing modern residential facilities including renovation of police stations established in Peshawar has also been started with the aim of providing a peaceful environment not only to the citizens.
CCPO Abbas Ahsan further said that along with the renovation, reconstruction of West Police Station has been started which is being constructed in a modern style as per the requirements of the day where modern facilities for public convenience have been provided.
