A high-level meeting was held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines under the chairmanship of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed, to review and improve the performance of the Investigation Department in line with modern requirements.
The meeting was attended by SSP Investigation Noor Jamal, SP Investigation Ishaq Khan, and relevant DSPs. SSP Noor Jamal gave a detailed briefing on the department’s performance, highlighting progress in high-profile and serious cases, court verdicts, and the current arrest ratio of named suspects.
CCPO Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed issued clear directives to expedite the tracing of pending cases and ensure the arrest of all nominated suspects. He also stressed the need to improve coordination with the judiciary and to promptly submit challans for cases that are still pending.
“A comprehensive and quality investigation is essential for securing effective court decisions,” said Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed.
He emphasized that investigation officers must utilize their full professional capacity to ensure justice and bring criminal elements to account. He noted that crimes can only be eradicated when investigations are concluded swiftly and fairly, and justice is delivered to the victims.
