CCPO Peshawar chairs law and order review meeting

An important meeting held here on Thursday with Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar Syed Ashfaq Anwar in the chair, reviewed steps for improvement the security arrangements of important and sensitive places in the provincial capital.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Kashf Aftab Abbasi, SSP Coordination Imran Khan, DPO Khyber Saleem Abbas Kulachi, SSP Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Najm Hussain, SP CTD Shaukat Khan, and others attended the meeting.
CCPO Peshawar directed police high-up to take steps to further improve the security arrangements by conducting a detailed security audit of sensitive and important places, hotels, hotels, religious places of worship and educational institutions.
He said that human intelligence should be made more effective and coordination with other units should be made more effective in order to nab the criminal elements.
Directions were issued for targeted search and strike operations at the divisional level against criminals wanted for crimes and their facilitators and unregistered people.
Syed Ashfaq Anwar claimed that street crimes ratio in the provincial capital has decreased due to effective strategy against anti-national elements and people involved in serious crimes.
“There is a need to further intensify the ongoing crackdown against terrorists to ensure peace and stability in the society,” he said and added that crackdown against criminal elements, recovery of weapons, drugs, proclaimed offenders, illegal activities and other actions against will be continued.
Expressing confidence in the overall performance of police force in Peshawar, CCPO issued instructions for further improvement in law and order situation.
