Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar, Qasim Ali Khan, on Monday formally inaugurated the newly established Police Facilitation Center in Hayatabad.
The center aims to provide convenient access to police-related services for residents of Hayatabad, Pushtkhara, Ring Road, Board, Nasir Bagh, and adjoining areas.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior police officials, including SP Cantt Division Aitzaz Arif, and other officers. The facilitation center is equipped with modern infrastructure and offers a wide range of public services under one roof. These include issuance of police clearance and character certificates, foreign registration, employee and domestic verification, driving licenses, tenant and employee registration, traffic information, missing and theft reports, police welfare admissions, tender information, police recruitment assistance, victim support, and legal advisory services.
Speaking to media, CCPO Qasim Ali Khan noted that the increasing number of visitors to the first Police Facilitation Center at Sharqi Police Station prompted the establishment of this second facility. “This center will greatly benefit the people of Hayatabad and nearby areas by providing comprehensive police services at a single location without unnecessary delays,” he said.
He further announced plans to expand the network of facilitation centers across other parts of Peshawar to ensure that citizens have access to police services closer to their homes.
Emphasizing the importance of community engagement, CCPO Qasim Ali Khan urged the staff to uphold professionalism, courteous behavior, and public cooperation. “Bridging the gap between police and citizens is essential. These facilitation centers are a vital communication link, and their success relies on the quality of service provided to the public,” he stated.
