PESHAWAR: The temperature in Peshawar is a record 29 degrees Celsius, Meteorological Department said here Friday. Rain is expected in Chitral, Peshawar, Khyber, Hangu, Karak and Lakki Marwat, said an official of the Meteorological Department while talking to media men. Due to heavy rain, there is also a risk of flooding in the local rivers of the province, the official said. All district administrations instructed to be on alert, said a release issued by the DMA. Fear of landslides in the upper districts of the province and rains are likely to reduce the current heat wave, the PDMA release said. Urban flooding is likely in low-lying areas due to rains as well and people across the province have been warned to avoid visiting the hilly stations during these days. APP
